Core Question
How do we live in a world where catastrophe can strike without warning?
Answer
Through vigilance, preparation, and responsibility.
Followers live with the knowledge that peace is never guaranteed, and that protection is the responsibility of mortals.
Followers of the Vigil Path believe the Judgment Gods are a constant reminder that the world is fragile and that disaster could come at any moment.
The Empurios Event proved that everything can change in a single moment. Kingdoms fell, lives were shattered, and the Judgment Gods appeared without warning. Since then, Vigil followers have lived with the understanding that peace is never guaranteed. They do not necessarily resent the gods, nor do they worship them. Instead, they fear what the gods represent: the undeniable truth that disaster could come at any moment. To them, the gods reveal that no one is truly safe.
Because of this, Vigil followers believe protection is not the responsibility of the divine — it is the responsibility of mortals. Where others place their faith in hope, Vigil followers place theirs in preparation and hard training.
