Core Question
How do we preserve civilization?
Answer
Through structure, acceptance, and stability.
Followers accept the Judgment Gods as one of the many imperfect foundations that hold civilization together.
Followers of the Keepers of Balance are some of the most common among paths and accept the Judgment Gods as one of the many foundations upon which civilization is built. The gods are not perfect, nor are their judgments always understood. Yet the Keepers believe that lasting societies are built by accepting responsibility rather than seeking perfection.
To them, laws, traditions, institutions, the military, and even the Judgment Gods exist for the same reason: they don't think they are flawless, but they prevent civilization from descending into chaos. Rather than asking whether the system is perfect, the Keepers ask a different question:
"What happens if it disappears?"
Common Followers
Magistrates, teachers, historians, archivists, engineers, merchants, builders, diplomats, farmers, fishermen, the average working class, and common people.
Average Corruption Risk
Very low for hate corruption. People who follow the Keeper's path rarely pass light corruption levels and usually turn to other paths if their beliefs change. Corrupted individuals may have committed crimes or have issues unrelated to the path. Symptoms include rule-bound thinking, emotional detachment, and indifference.
