Ebeta is one of Norrveil's most respected military leaders, overseeing the Northern Marches where the continent meets ice, storm, and wilderness.

When she was a child, her home was destroyed in a devastating raid, where many lost their lives. Because of this traumatizing event she believes that strength is not a luxury but a necessity. To Ebeta, hardship reveals your true self, and preparation is key to preventing tragedy. Her soldiers know her as demanding, relentless, and uncompromising. She expects excellence from those under her command and rarely tolerates excuses.

Yet beneath her intimidating reputation lies a side few outsiders ever witness.

The fortresses under her command have developed an unusual habit of collecting strays. Injured and orphaned animals, and especially abandoned kittens often find their way into the Marches. Though Ebeta denies her soft spot for animals, and publicly insists the animals are merely useful for pest control and morale, few believe her. Many of Norrveil's soldiers joke that rescuing a kitten is the fastest way to earn the Warden's approval. Whether the rumor is true or not, the number of cats living comfortably inside her strongholds continues to grow each year.
