Kaxius serves as Curator of the Monolith Archives, a large collection of ancient records, artifacts, and unanswered mysteries hidden in the deserts of Arakesh. Widely regarded as one of Ethora's greatest and maddest scholars, he has dedicated his life to studying forgotten civilizations and the mysteries they left behind, whether they be of good or bad nature, matters not.
His brilliance is unquestioned. His judgment is another matter entirely.
Kaxius possesses an insatiable curiosity that many find unsettling. Where others see dangerous ruins, forbidden texts, or corruption-tainted relics, he sees opportunities to learn. He believes knowledge itself is neither good nor evil — only the intentions of those who use it.
This philosophy has placed him at odds with religious authorities, conservative scholars, and even fellow researchers — on more than one occasion, he has been accused of pursuing questions that should remain unanswered.
The accusations rarely bother him.
To Kaxius, ignorance is a greater threat than knowledge.
Despite his reputation, he is not cruel. Those who work alongside him often describe him as charismatic, patient, and unexpectedly approachable. He enjoys teaching and frequently encourages younger scholars to challenge established assumptions.
Unfortunately, he applies the same principle to boundaries.
The result is a man admired for his intellect, respected for his discoveries, and quietly watched by almost everyone who knows him.
No one is entirely certain where curiosity ends and obsession begins.
Least of all Kaxius himself.
