Residing in the mountains and coast of the northeastern part of Korvash, Frideric, Prince of the Coral Exchange, oversees one of the largest commercial networks in Ethora, as well as the northern mines of Korvash.

Merchant vessels from distant ports dock each season carrying exotic goods, rare materials, and stories from every corner of the continent. More often than not, Frideric knows about them before anyone else.

He is famous for his extravagant lifestyle. Lavish festivals, grand feasts, commissioned artworks, and impossible wagers have become inseparable from his reputation. To outsiders he often appears frivolous — a wealthy noble spending fortunes on entertainment while others concern themselves with politics and war.

This impression has proven dangerous for many of his rivals.

Beneath the charm and luxury lies an exceptionally capable businessman. Frideric understands people as well as he understands trade. He knows when to negotiate, when to invest, and when to walk away. Entire trade routes have flourished because of his patronage, while others collapsed after losing his support.

His generosity is equally well known. Artists, explorers, inventors, and ambitious entrepreneurs frequently find themselves sponsored by the Trade Prince after a single conversation. Some call him reckless. Others call him visionary.

Perhaps both are true.

Throughout Korvash, nearly everyone has a story involving Frideric. Whether it is winning a fortune, losing one, receiving unexpected help, or attending one of his legendary celebrations, the Trade Prince has become as much a cultural institution as a political figure.

Many rulers demand loyalty through fear or authority, but Frideric earns it through opportunity.
